For the first time, am sharing with you a craft activity i did with the children today, this is about the tenth craft since the outbreak of the Corona Virus.
together with the kids, we designed a parcelling paper using basically things around us.
CRAFT ITEMS
A piece of cocoyam, garden egg, a bottle cover, A4 sheets, leaves from an old magazine, a cutter or knife and a poster colour or acrylic paint.
we started by creating a motif (a design) on the cocoyam and the garden egg.
we created the design by cutting off parts of these objects into a heart and a diamond shape with the help of a knife.
once the motif is ready, we then dip it into the colour and stamp on to the paper.
Note that, the colour for the stamping should not be too watery or too tick; the paper will get too wet and tear off before it dries up. and when it's too thick, the colours will crack and peel off when it's being used for wrapping.

working with the paper, we crumpled it into a ball shape. Holding on to one side of it, we dipped the other side into the the colours and stamped them onto the papers.

Also with the bottle cover, we dipped the opened side in to the colour and stamped onto the paper.
It was really fun doing this craft with the kids. I will keep you updated on other fun crafts we do together.
